as the title of this post says, i had my first car wash today!
haha, i know. that means i haven't washed my car since i got it, in like August! :O

yes yes horrible me. :(
but anyways i finally did it! with the help of my sweet boyfriend. haha.

and also because i got the most unique and funny birthday present ever, from xuan and wilson aka fatdog.
haha. i used to refer them as 'joshua's friends', but since i dont know when, i've come to call them my own friends now and they are a really funny bunch of guys to hang out with. :)

i wasn't expecting any presents from them so receiving this was a surprise. xuan said they actually wanted to get me a GPS! :O
but they didn't have time to look for one so they got me a Car Washing Detergent instead! LOL.
but the funny part was their card. yes, those two boys made me a card! so funny please. haha.

What i wore TODAY and Monday.
(as you can see i'm starting to push my fringe aside. it's getting way into my eyes. still contemplating if i should maintain bangs and trim it myself, or just grow them out into a side fringe. hmm.)


so as i said in my prev entry, i went out with justin for a movie and dinner, one day earlier. :)
caught Poker King then headed down to One Fullerton's Forlino's. the deco there is pretty vintage french style. the ambience is really calming and the view is awesome!

didn't get to take much pictures because it was really dark, but the restaurant's window panels overlook the highway and the esplanade, with all the city lights.

managed to take food pics though! food was especially good considering the price. $90 per person for the Gourmet Set Menu and it included Wagyu Beef Cheek as main course and etc. PLUS, they were having a promotion, 1 for 1 set! Justin will just kill me because he said that we should keep these things to ourselves. LOL. See pics below. :D~

wore OSF's eyelet skater dress as it was really comfortable to the max and very slimming. ♥

ah, after celebrating everyone's 21st birthday this year, it is finally my turn. haha.

i must say, i had the most peaceful, serene and carefree birthday this year. just the way i like it. :)

arranged a picnic session (my first!) with Joshua, Joze & Roy, Leon & Reanne. triple date. haha! not that it was on purpose. but it's been sometimes since we all hung out like this for awhile, since NUW time back in 2007. :)

also had a simple dinner with Justin on friday night at Forlino, One Fullerton. it's just next to Butter Factory! more on that on the next post when i've edited the pictures. food was great and surprisingly wasn't that expensive either!


Pictures from Marina Barrage for now! i love that place. hope it wont get over-crowded with people next time. and i found it that it has free parking! major bonus. haha.

anyway, thanks for all the birthday wishes! :) really appreciate all of them.

i just got home from work! exhausted!

it really amazes me, how clueless and stupid clients can be sometimes. i know i sound really harsh (like a bitch) but its true! :(
all the frustration in the office can be channelled to fuel our electricity i think. haha.
it's a good thing Danial and the rest are really open about everything, so curses, vulgarities and whatnots fly around all the time. good to know that it's not pent up or everyone might just explode.

they really ask for the most ridiculous things. *shakes head*

anyway, work aside.

caught a movie after work on friday. was supposed to watch The Blue Mansion with the rest (caleb, tom, abs and jam, etc) but josh and i couldn't make it down it time. we caught another show on our own instead. Paranormal Activities.

always OT-ing every night. i barely have time to myself. :(

yay joshua is coming back tmr midnight! cant wait to see him. :)

he's always doing silly random things. but they make me smile. haha. check this out.

we've been OT-ing every single day the past week, but somehow i dont feel the major stress. YET.
i guess it's either cause the deadline is next week (or after), or that we've been smoothly completing things off our list without rushing.

i caught My Sister's Keeper with tom and kazumi last night!

before the movie, which was impromtu by the way, we were hanging out at this place called PS Cafe, at Palais Renaissance. both zoomi and i were like. wha tom bring us to such an atas cafe to chill. haha, turns out that it was actually opened by the Project Shop (hence, PS) brothers. they have one at Paragon as well. the different branches have different specialties. the one at Palais Renaissance is their um. sticky chewy lemon something cake. haha!

i cant remember the name but it really is good! would love to go back and try it again. :)

speaking of food, last last week, i mentioned that i went out for supper with justin and we were super unlucky right.
because we're always eating at Chomp2 that i suggested we go to Bedok 85, you know since i could drive now, so yeah. but we were unfamiliar of the route cos it's been a long time. and i only know how to go from school (TP) itself.

we kinda took the longer way with 2 U-Turns. haha! but we ended there safely anyway and i was wondering if there would be lots to park cos it was always jam-packed. but the parking lot was deserted! D: Bedok 85 was under renovation!! super unlucky can. -_- but i was so hungry that we just decided to eat at some coffee shop nearby.

but everywhere was closing except one stall. the Zi Char stall. and they were selling crabs too, and was in fact, famous for it. haha. so i told justin, 'you wanna come ALL the way down here to eat zi char or you wanna try crab?'

he was like, 'HUH are you serious! 2 of us only? from bak chor mee to crab!?'hahaha, so we ordered Butter Crab and salted fish fried rice. our crab took frikin long to arrive can. when it did, it was deep fried. -_-
the batter was good, but it was the same colour as the crab shell. so you dont know if you're crunching on batter or shell. and the meat was stuck to the shell. BOOO.

after the meal, we took a walk to digest alil better and decided to walk to 85 to check out how long would the renovation be until.
it had been closed since september! and would be opening 2 days later. -______________- talk about bad timing.

its been a hectic busy period these few days. office is mad busy, though i think we're all coping pretty well for now *touch wood*

i should take a picture of my list at work. haha.

and now we're down with two colleagues because:
1. Lauren is on maternity leave after giving birth to Sarah
2. Darren is constantly at the hospital because his wife just got diagnosed with 4th stage lung cancer. :(

it's so scary. she's only like 27 i think and she doesn't smoke. 
and they just got married like not long ago. :(:(

sigh. sad things aside,
i went for a hair cut last weekend! decided to do bangs once again but this time, a heavier one.
darkened my hair to a dark brown (looks black but it will lighten over time), to cover my blonde highlighted ends. :)

just got home awhile back from work. i cannot imagine what it will be like for the next 2 weeks when the deadline is nearing. T.T

i got myself a bangle when i was out the other day with joshua. love it very much! this is 2nd best to the giant cuff (thats more like a tarnished-gold metal plate) from River Island that costs $50. too ridiculous for me to buy it so i settled for this cheaper alternative instead. haha.

i got the LCA Paris Spag dress in another colour combination which is really really unique.

dont you think it makes me look princess-ey? hahaha. which is actually NOT very me. but it's something different! i quite like it.

i had a very vivid dream last night. and i actually kinda hoped that it was real.

i dreamt that for some ugh, most unfortunate reason, i was sitting at a table with joshua, and the two of them.
when she(!!) started taunting me, i of course got agitated and started ranting.

i ranted about:
•  all the things the rest of us have been talking about for MONTHS.
•  our friendship
•  the lies (that actually everyone already knows)

offhand, i can't remember what else. but i know i rendered both of them speechless.
and she started to cry.

i dont know why she cried. because she was stuck in between or she just ran out of lies.
i'm not heartless, i did feel a twinge of guilt. but i was so mad, i didn't care.

i cant believe i actually dreamt of this. i thought i didn't care about it since... idk when. hm. i guess not huh.
i'm not sure if i want it to be real, now that i think back about it.


just a thought.

in relation to my previous post about my fatness, i have concluded that i am just self-conscious and i get easily affected by what others say or think. haha. it's sad but true.

cos honestly when i look at myself in the mirror, i dont feel fat. i mean, sure there are problem areas. but overall, i think i'm okay. not perfect but okay. it's just when sometimes people say things, 'eh you look damn ba-ba' or 'you've put on weight!' then i start to feel fat. LOL. i mean, its true right? it's only when people start saying things then you will question yourself.

i know my weight hasn't gone up, neither has it gone down. it's always hovering at the same area. i dont snack, i sleep earlier than before and wake up earlier than before. i exercise twice a week and i eat smaller meals. so technically i'm actually healthier than i ever was.

and i beg to differ about clothes that make up your mass.

if you're skinny, you will still look skinny. (of course you can always bulk up by wearing layers but what for -.-) i feel that if you're skinny, you just have to find clothes that flatter certain parts of your body, and not make you look like a bamboo pole. if you're fat (sorry cant think of a nicer term), you can find clothes to slim your silhouette and flatter other parts of your body. 

but clothes cannot change your shape.

anyways, i came to this conclusion because of 3 incidents today.

incident number 1:
when i was getting dressed today, i thought, 'okay whaaat. i'm not round. sure i have wobbly bits (lol) but i think i look fine.' 

incident number 2:
i was driving out of my neighbourhood area when i just went across the zebra crossing, forgetting to give way to pedestrians, and this school boy was standing at the side, waiting. only after i went past, 'i was like OHH SHIT. i didn't stop to give way to him!' i just went ahead like one of those selfish drivers you would curse at. lol. 

after that i felt soooooooo guilty and kept wondering what he must be thinking. :(:(
he probably didn't give two-hoots about it but still. 

incident number 3:
i was making a right turn at the junction, on the outer lane. after the right turn, there was road works going on, on the lane i was at (the centre one) and i had to either filter right or left. i braked and was deciding where to filter when i noticed the car behind me on my right was giving way to me, so turned and filtered right and drove on. but i was too busy concentrating on the roads that i didnt raise my hand to show appreciation/gratitude. 

and i felt suuuupper guilty after that as well. wondering what that driver must be thinking. give way already then never show any appreciation. hahha.

this incident always happens by the way, when people DO give way to me. 
sigh, cant be helped la, i'm still a newbie driver. i dare not distract myself by taking my hand off the wheel and raising it up when the dude probably cant even see. maybe soon, when i'm seasoned enough.

BUT STILL. i felt so super guilty.

and so this entry is not entirely made up of words. here are 2 old school photos of me.

today was an interesting day as it became 'Save Joze Campaign'. office got worried about poor joze when her rashes/skin condition got worse and she became paler and paler each day. so boss suggested her to go for detox at Marine Parade and even paid for her! woo, so nice of him. and we all headed down and had lunch there.

BUT. super suay because the shop closed. -_- only open next monday so i guess we'd be heading back there next week for lunch again! yay botak jones! haha. so joze did foot reflexology next door instead, also sponsored by boss! :) hope she gets better soon.

this weekend was really hectic as we celebrated my dear boyfriend's 21st birthday with 3 groups of friends! haha.

SATURDAY
lunch was with Joze, Roy, Leon and R'eanne, at Great World City. didn't manage to take any pictures as my camera didnt charge for some reason that day. :(

dinner later was at Hard Rock Cafe with the coursemates. ooh it was so entertaining. but i never ever want my birthday to be held there. so embarrassing. luckily hon was a real good sport and played along. haha.

he was made to stand on the chair and shout to the whole cafe and announce that it was his birthday celebration that day and he needs everyone in the house to sing him a birthday song! then later he had to use only his mouth to retrieve a small red cherry in a sundae-full-of-cream! :O

and then later at night there was a live band. Weijie made a dedication to hon and the performers made him go up to dance with them. the 'Nobody but you' song. hahaha. hilarious! video posted on FB! haha.

after everyone went home, hon wanted to watch Inglourious Basterds so we headed to Lido. it was abt a 2 and a half hours show and he was uber dead beat by then, especially since he had a 10km run in the morning at East Coast after only 3 hours of sleep. D: so needless to say, within 15 minutes of the show, he was already nodding off. hahah. 

BUT i had to keep waking him up because he snored! hahaha. so funny. but later on it because torturous because it was mighty freezing cold in there and i had no jacket. was only wearing my knitted top and shorts. so both of us were shivvvvvering in there and he was trying to keep himself awake. lol. but the show as not bad though. 

and we got home at 3.30am. D:

SUNDAY (today)


they surprised him with the awesome-est birthday cake ever. haha. Bakerzin's Oreo Cheesecake! cos they asked me what would joshua like and i told them, 'hm. he loves chocolate. or cheesecake also can'. this is a 3-in-1 combo man. the bf loves oreos too. haha. yay!


when lunch was over, the 3 cars drove down to Iain's place at Bukit Timah to play Raving Rabbids 2 on his Wii. hahaha. so hilarious. :D fun fun. and then Xuan was soooo unhappy about losing to Wilson in a Burping game that he kept repeating it. video posted on FB as well!

all in all, it was a really eventful weekend and i know joshua is a really happy 21 year old boy. :) well, coming 21 that is. his actual is on the 29th, this Tuesday. 

thanks so much guys for making everything a success and giving him the most wonderful presents he could ever ask for. he wasn't even expecting any in the first place so you can imagine how meaningful this is to him. :)
